Dry Brushing 101

Have you ever heard or tried dry-brushing? Dry-brushing is a technique whereby a stiff, bristled brush is swept across the body in circular motion. This age-old technique produces many benefits such as removal of dead skin cells (which produces softer skin), increased blood circulation (which creates radiant skin), and encourages lymphatic drainage (which encourages the body to detoxify itself). Here are some great tips on how to get started from @goop: “To do it yourself, start at your feet and brush upward towards the heart. Similarly, when you start on your arms, begin at the hands and work upward. Use firm, small strokes upwards, or work in a circular motion. For the stomach, work in a counterclockwise pattern. Harsh exfoliation is never the point; be sure not to press too hard, or use too-stiff of a brush. “
I recommend dry-brushing before a shower, for about 3-5 minutes. The brushes pictured above are from @ecotools. I purchased them at @target.  #NOTAnAd #NOTSponsored
